1,121 PNP Candidates Invited In Latest Express Entry Draw | Canada Immigration News

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its latest Express Entry draw, issuing invitations to 1,121 candidates through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 694 to be eligible for this draw.

This latest draw marks the fourth Express Entry draw of the month. The previous draws include a category-based selection draw on August 15 for candidates with French language proficiency and two additional draws on August 13 and 14 targeting PNP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates respectively.

Here’s a summary of the recent Express Entry draw results for 2024:

August 26: PNP - 1,121 candidates, CRS 694
August 15: French language proficiency - 2,000 candidates, CRS 394
August 14: CEC - 3,200 candidates, CRS 509
August 13: PNP - 763 candidates, CRS 690
July 31: CEC - 5,000 candidates, CRS 510
July 30: PNP - 964 candidates, CRS 686
July 18: French language proficiency - 1,800 candidates, CRS 400
July 17: CEC - 6,300 candidates, CRS 515
July 16: PNP - 1,391 candidates, CRS 670
July 8: French proficiency - 3,200 candidates, CRS 420

IRCC has been increasing the frequency of draws, especially for PNP and CEC categories, in line with its strategy to meet the permanent resident admissions targets for 2024 and 2025.

The department plans to welcome 110,770 newcomers through Express Entry in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025. Those receiving invitations later in the year are expected to contribute to meeting the 2025 target, given IRCC’s six-month processing standard for Express Entry applications.
