The Government of Canada has announced the official launch date for its new immigration programs, "Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots." These pathways, starting March 31, 2025, aim to provide permanent residence (PR) opportunities to eligible foreign nationals working in the home care sector. Eligibility Requirements for Applicants

To qualify for the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Language Proficiency: Demonstrate CLB Level 4 in an official language.
  • Educational Qualification: Hold an equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma.
  • Work Experience: Have recent and relevant work experience (minimum six months).
  • Job Offer: Secure a full-time job offer in a home care position.

As part of the 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan, IRCC has allocated 10,920 new immigrant admissions under Federal Economic Pilots. This allocation will cover the following programs:

  • Agri-Food Pilot
  • Community Immigration Pilots
  • Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot
