Canada's New Target of 105,550 PR Invitations | 5 Provinces Open Doors for Immigration

Annually, the federal government allocates a specific number of nominations to each province. IRCC aims to admit 105,550 new permanent residents through the PNP by the end of 2023. Come, let us know about the results of provincial immigration held in the recent period:

On August 30, Ontario's Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 772 candidates through the Masters Graduate stream. This draw was general, with no specific occupation requirement, and candidates needed to achieve a minimum score of 44.

Eligibility for this stream is limited to international graduates possessing an Ontario master's degree, a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 7 in an official language, sufficient settlement funds, and a one-year residency in Ontario within the past two years. British Columbia conducted its weekly draw on August 29.

The province issued invitations to over 150 candidates across the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams through four separate draws. The largest draw targeted 102 candidates in tech occupations, requiring a minimum score of 88. Three additional draws invited candidates from early childhood education, healthcare, and other priority occupations, all with a minimum score of 60.

On August 24, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) unveiled its draw results. The province extended invitations to 168 candidates through the Family Connection and Primary Occupation in Demand stream. These candidates are also Express Entry candidates and had to meet a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 302.

Eligibility for this stream hinges on having an immediate family member (parent, child, or sibling) already residing in Alberta. Manitoba organized its first region-specific draw of the year on August 30. A total of 288 candidates in the Skilled Worker stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) received invitations.

Eligibility requirements included current employment in Manitoba, an intention to live outside of Winnipeg, the provincial capital, and a minimum score of 600. On August 31, Prince Edward Island (PEI) invited 22 candidates through the Labour and Express Entry stream of the PEI PNP.

These invitations were issued to individuals working in healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, and construction sectors. Since September 2022, Prince Edward Island has extended invitations to a total of 2,602 candidates, with 97% of these invitations coming from the Labour and Express Entry stream.
