Provincial Nominee Programs: Latest ITAs from BC & Manitoba | Canada Immigration News
British Columbia and Manitoba have issued invitations to apply (ITAs) to immigration candidates through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP).
Candidates in British Columbia were invited through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).
Invitations were extended to individuals with eligible professional experience in sectors with in-demand positions targeted by the BCPNP, including healthcare, childcare, construction, tech, and veterinary care. The minimum scores for each draw varied:
- Childcare draw cut-off score: 90
- Construction draws cut-off score: 93
- Healthcare draw cut-off score: 100
- Tech draw cut-off score: 120
- Veterinary care draw cut-off score: 80
The International Graduate stream, which includes the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option, targets individuals who have graduated from an eligible Canadian university or college in the last three years and have a job offer from a B.C. employer.
In Manitoba, a total of 371 candidates were invited through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). Invitations were issued across three different streams and an occupation-specific draw:
- Occupation-specific selection: 18 ITAs were issued to candidates with experience in professions corresponding to National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes, such as supervisors in motor transport and bus drivers.
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream: 242 eligible candidates were invited with a minimum ranking score of 836.
- International Education Stream: 76 eligible candidates were invited, targeting graduates from schools in Manitoba who meet the province’s labour market needs.
- Skilled Worker Overseas stream: 35 candidates were invited with a minimum ranking score of 698. This stream allows candidates from abroad with in-demand skills and experience to immigrate and settle in Manitoba.
Of the 371 candidates invited in Manitoba, 66 declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.
Please note that each PNP has its own scoring system, and cut-off scores should not be compared across different PNPs. Additionally, terms like "Notifications of Interest" or "Letters of Advice to Apply" may be used by some provinces instead of "Invitations to Apply."
